Earthing brushes

Shaft Turbomachinery Solutions Europe supplies high performance and highly reliable SOHRE bristle fiber earthing brushes for use in shaft earthing of all types of stray electrical currents.
The brushes can also be used for the transmission of instrument signals and for online diagnostics of generators or electric motors. SOHRE has continuously improved the earthing brushes and incorporated decades of experience.

Demagnetizer

The mobile magnetic field devices in the MGFE series offer versatile solutions for the precise demagnetization of ferromagnetic components. With innovative alternating field sine pulse technology, supported by specially developed coils and stray field devices, they enable efficient demagnetization. Stray field demagnetizers are ideal for flat objects, while flexible magnetic field cables can reach even hard-to-access areas and can be adapted by connecting several cables. Combinable with SSM coils and also available as custom-made products on request, the systems offer maximum adaptability.

HCP technology

From the rolling bearing to the sensor. HCP-LubSecure prevents bearing damage through lubrication monitoring. HCP-Surface offers a simple solution for measuring the forces acting in the machine directly at the point of action. In addition to force measurement and lubrication monitoring, the sensor technology from HCP Sense also offers the possibility of detecting rolling bearing damage at an early stage and tracking its progress.

Brush models

We distribute high-quality patented earthing brushes from Sohre and the corresponding replacement brushes throughout Europe.
Type A earthing brushes are particularly suitable for axial installation against a shaft end or the shaft collar, even for retrofitting during operation.
Type L and type S earthing brushes are generally suitable for mechanical drive units and small turbine generators.
The wide type LW earthing brushes are suitable for systems in power plant control centers with an output of 100 MW to over 1,000 MW.

Of the smaller brushes, the type L discharges around four times as much current as the type S with the same bristle wear rate. For this reason, the type L brush is the most economical of the small brushes in terms of ampere hours per euro and therefore has the longest replacement interval for bristle elements.

Installation

Type A earthing brushes are primarily designed for retrofitting on site, even during operation (usually at the end of the shaft) and for axial or radial positioning. Type L, LW and S earthing brushes can be installed in almost any position in relation to the shaft. Please also note the typical mounting locations.

Mobile demagnetizer MGFE

The mobile magnetic field devices in the MGFE series are versatile systems for magnetizing and demagnetizing ferromagnetic machine parts. Their special feature is the high-precision demagnetization technology in which alternating field sine pulses are used. These pulses generate an efficient magnetic field in specially developed coils.

Flexible magnetic field cables are ideal for demagnetizing components or complete machines. These cables can either be wrapped around the parts to be treated or placed as a coil directly on the relevant surfaces. Thanks to the flexible design, even areas that are difficult to access can be reached effortlessly. In addition, several cables can be connected together to increase the overall length, the number of windings and the field strength generated.

In addition to the flexible magnetic field cables, coils from the SSM series can also be combined with the MGFE devices. For specific requirements, we develop custom-made products on request that are precisely tailored to the required dimensions, field strengths or magnetic field profiles.

We offer comprehensive training to ensure that the MGFE demagnetization system is used efficiently and correctly. This can be carried out either directly on site at the customer's premises or online via video conference. The training usually lasts one to two days and provides all the important knowledge for successful operation.

Thanks to these innovative solutions, MGFE systems set new standards in demagnetization technology and offer maximum flexibility and efficiency.

Technological functions:

  1. Demagnetization with low-frequency sinusoidal pulses and controlled field progression: The use of low-frequency sine pulses minimizes the formation of eddy currents, which enables deeper penetration into ferromagnetic material and increases the efficiency of demagnetization.
  2. Demagnetization by means of a sine pulse and adaptive frequency control: The progressive increase in frequency in the decay phase of the sine pulse ensures particularly effective demagnetization, especially for small to medium-sized components and on surfaces.
  3. Generation of a DC field with variable amplitude and polarity: This function enables a precisely defined magnetic flux and is ideal for magnetizing steel parts.
  4. Fine adjustment of magnetic symmetry: This function allows the magnetic field to be precisely adjusted at specific points on a steel part, such as the ends of a steel shaft, in order to achieve optimum results.
